Types of Perfume by Scent

  • Floral Perfume

    Floral perfume is one of the most prominent and popular types of fragrances, primarily based on scents extracted from various flowers such as orange blossoms, jasmine, and gardenias. It is characterized by its sweet scent that reflects romance.

  • Citrus Perfume

    This type is derived from citrus fruits like lemon and orange, and is known for its refreshing scent that adds a touch of nature. It is suitable for active people and is primarily used during the day.

  • Woody Perfume

    Extracted from trees like oak, this type has a sweet, earthy aroma and is considered comforting and strong. It is mainly used in women’s fragrances.

  • Oriental Perfume

    Combines earthy and musky scents, made from elements like amber and musk. It is heavy and alluring, typically used for special occasions such as dinner parties.

  • Fruity Perfume

    Derived from fruits like apple, berry, and mango, fruity perfumes are popular and widely used for both casual and special occasions.

  • Green Perfume

    Extracted from tree leaves, green perfumes are refreshing and suitable for daily use. They are usually worn during the day and have a sporty and practical scent.

  • Marine Perfume

    One of the newer types of perfumes, marine fragrances resemble the scent of mountain air and are suitable for formal occasions such as business meetings.

  • Spicy Perfume

Basic Types of Perfume by Concentration

  • Perfume (Parfum)

    The most concentrated and expensive, containing a high percentage of fragrance oil (15-40%). Its scent lasts up to eight hours.

  • Eau de Parfum (EDP)

    Contains fragrance oil concentration between 10-15%, commonly used, and lasts from 4 to 6 hours.

  • Eau de Cologne (EDC)

    Less concentrated, often used for children and women, and its scent lasts no more than two hours.
